The man most directly responsible for this twaddle was Johannes Rydh, who did
thus comment on New AMOS game on the night of 07-Oct-97:
When you get some kind of preview/demo done, could you send it to me for
inclusion
in my library. Thanks.
The first version of the game, is this done in AMOS also, and is there a
playable version
of this game that can be placed in the library?
Take care
Mush
-> Hello All,
-> I am working on a game in AMOS.
-> It's called SpaceWarsII (my brother wrote SpaceWarsI).
-> It is an strategy game, where you can order your troops around the systems.
-> You fight with other ships, you land and fight men to men, you defend your
-> bases with guard towers, you build more ships, you buy and sell fuel, men
and
-> ships and much more.
-> The game is about the good guys and the bad guys. The bad guys are the evil
-> Empire and the good guys the people from Earth. Thousands of years have
past
-> since colonist from Earth took the step out in the space. 24 systems are
now
-> colonized. But then the evil Empire was created; and they set up bases on
-> almost every planet. They ruled now completely all of the planets.
-> But then you came, and with anly one ship and some money, you destroyed the
-> empire, and the peace in the galaxy was complete.
-> Many years has passed since that, and now the empire has rised again. From
-> their mainbase at the planet Tyrus, they sent 20 big warships to crush the
-> alliance. They almost succeded; only Earth survived this strike. The empire
-> sent all thier power to destroy the opposition. But they failed, because of
-> the extreme defence of Earth. All thier troops sent there was destroyed.
-> 11 of the 20 warships is still existing and flying around and terror the
-> people. The Empire have sent for 20 new warships.
-> Now it's your turn again. Defeat the Empire before the reinforcments
arrive.
-> The whole world counts on you.
-> Does it sounds intresting?
-> Anyone wants screenshots or the half-ready code?
-> I'd like to have some thoughts and ideas about this game.
-> If anyone likes to help me with finishing it i would me more than happy to
-> send you a copy.
-> ---
-> Regards, Johannes Rydh
